Conditions of Enrollment

  1. Submission of an official final transcript from your high school, and in addition any other appropriate documentation if applicable such as, QSSC Certificate, A/AS-Level*, IB, or CBSE Standard XII results, confirming you have successfully completed your secondary school coursework and have maintained the level of academic performance that resulted in your acceptance to Carnegie Mellon Qatar.

Carnegie Mellon University reserves the right to withdraw an offer of admission if the admitted student fails to maintain a similar level of performance that resulted in your acceptance. Please finish your schooling well to avoid any possibility of the offer being withdrawn.

All official transcripts must be received by July 1st.  If the university has not received an official final transcript, you will be prevented from starting classes in August.

*Note: AS or A level results (British system) are required on August 15, 2026 immediately following their release that same day.  An unofficial copy of your AS or A level results must be provided immediately as we wait for the arrival of your official results.
  1. Understanding and compliance with all rules and policies of the Qatar Foundation and of Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar.
  1. Acknowledgment that you have not placed an enrollment deposit at another university.  “Double depositing” or confirming intentions to enroll at multiple universities is prohibited and may result in a loss of your space in the incoming class.
  1. You are required to attend an orientation program from August 17 – 20 for new students as a condition of your enrollment.

  2. Offers of Admission are for Carnegie Mellon’s Qatar campus. An Offer of Admission to CMU-Q does not grant an option to study full-time at Carnegie Mellon’s US campus.
